French Government to consider end to 'three strikes' anti-piracy scheme

France’s ‘three strikes’ Hadopi anti-piracy law could be replaced with 60 euro per time automated fines, if a recent government-commissioned report is to be acted on.

The law was built on the notion that punishing file-sharers and disconnecting them from the Internet would move them away from unauthorised sites and back to legitimate music and film stores.
