Glastonbury admits environmental breach
Glastonbury Festival has admitted breaching environmental regulations after human sewage leaked from a tank and polluted a nearby river.
Yeovil Magistrates' Court heard that 42 fish - including protected brown trout - were killed after a "large quantity" of sewage filtered into a stretch of the Whitelake River during the 2014 edition of the event.
Sensors in the stream alerted the Environment Agency, which led the prosecution, to increased ammonia levels, reports the BBC.
