Google to launch subscription music service imminently - report

Google is set to introduce a subscription music service today (May 15).

That's according to reports by The Verge, which claims sources have said details of the service will be revealed at the Google I/O annual software developers conference after the company recently secured licensing deals signed with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment for YouTube and Google Play.

The report of new agreements follows similar accounts of a deal previously stuck with Warner Music Group.
