IFPI chief executive Frances Moore has said Google needs to take more meaningful action to help curb online copyright infringement.

The international music trade body has added yet more pressure to the online search giant, with Moore reiterating bluntly that Google “is directing internet users to illegal sources of music” and suggesting that promises to up its efforts in the battle against piracy have no teeth.
