Government makes music video age rating programme permanent

Last year's Government-backed pilot programme to give relevant music videos an age rating has been made permanent after a successful first year.

The scheme, launched in October last year after a consultation in late 2013 with the Department for Media, Culture and Sport, has so far seen 132 music videos submitted by UK labels to the BBFC for certification. Of these, only one has been given an 18-rating – Dizzee Rascal’s Couple of Stacks.
