An advisory panel consisting of eight media executives is to review the BBC’s royal charter.
The charter outlines the Corporation’s remit and expires at the end of next year.
The panel’s work will be ongoing, with culture secretary John Whittingdale (pictured) saying the group will meet up to six times a year “to deliver a transparent, open and democratic” charter review.
