Grooveshark says that deal "brings the music industry even closer to a fundamental shift towards licensed streaming services with revenue potential".
The company claims it also "introduces Grooveshark as a major contender in the music-streaming space" as it is Grooveshark's first deal with a major US publisher.
The deal comes just three months after EMI launched legal proceedings against Grooveshark for copyright infringement.
