Hackney Empire to host gig powered by donations to raise funds after funding cuts

Hackney Empire, the charity-run arts and cultural venue is set to lose a significant part of its funding due to recent government cuts.

The historical venue is one of the largest and most visited performing arts centres in East London. It relies solely on a combination of tickets sales, donations and public funding to keep its doors open every year.
