HMV buys 50% of 7digital

HMV says the new joint venture with 7digital will combine the digital operation's technology, digital expertise and catalogue with the long-established music retailer's brand, supplier relationships and consumer reach. This, HMV says, will be with the purpose of accelerating its growth in the digital entertainment markets.
