Huge fines for ticket resale sites proposed in Australia

Secondary ticketing websites could soon face huge fines in New South Wales, Australia, if they allow ‘scalped’ tickets to be sold for excessive profits on their platforms.

NSW Fair Trading Minister Anthony Roberts is today expected to announce a proposal which will require ticket resellers to advertise ‘not far above cost price’ - effectively a profit cap of around 10%.
