Huppert asked his party, currently up in Birmingham for the start of the party political conference season, to adopt the findings of his Stimulating Growth in the Digital Economy report, which recommends repealing sections 3-18 of the DEA relating to copyright infringement.
The report also suggested that the anti-piracy measures of the DEA "were rushed through parliament with insufficient consultation" and claims there are serious question marks over their workability.
