IFPI chief defends labels' pay outs to artists for streaming

IFPI chief executive Frances Moore has spoken out in defence of the level of streaming payments to artists.

In a lengthy blog, Moore (pictured) revealed the organisation had conducted research in a bid to gain a better understanding of the issue.

It concluded that artist remuneration has increased as a proportion of record companies’ revenues in the last five years.
