IFPI: Global sync revenues up 2.1% in 2012

Income from sync saw a global increase of 2.1% in 2012 according to the IFPI’s Recording Industry in Numbers 2013 report.

Music used in TV, adverts, films and brand partnerships saw revenues hit $337 million worldwide in 2012.

The report also reiterated the global recorded music industry’s “road to recovery”, first highlighted in the IFPI’s Digital Music Report 2013 earlier this year.
