iPlayer Radio iOS app passes 1 million downloads milestone
The BBC iPlayer Radio iOS app has been downloaded 1 million times since its launch in October.
Two months ago the Beeb ramped up its on-demand offering by launching iPlayer Radio as mobile web and desktop apps as well as a standalone iOS app.
Some of the next developments for the service are an Android launch in 2013, a possible optimised iPad offering and rumoured partnerships with streaming services, according to TechCrunch.
