iTunes Match fails to launch on time

iTunes Match is Apple's upcoming digital music service that allows iTunes users to use the benefits of the platform with music obtained elsewhere.

Apple originally announced that they would launch the service in late October during its new iPhone launch event on October 4.

iTunes Match previously existed in beta state but was cut off, reportedly due to a number of bugs found. Others have speculated on the delay being down to difficulties securing rights from record labels.
