Singer/Songwriter James Arthur has signed a global recording deal with Columbia Germany.

Arthur won the ninth season of The X Factor in 2012. His debut-single Impossible shot straight to No.1 on the UK singles chart, selling 2.5 million copies worldwide, while his self-titled debut-album, released in November 2013, debuted at No.2 on the UK album-charts, gaining gold awards in both the United Kingdom and Ireland, while Impossible went multi-platinum in the UK, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, New Zealand and Sweden.
