Former EMI and Sony exec, James Murtagh-Hopkins (pictured), has joined UK Music as director of communications.
During 2006 and 2008, Murtagh-Hopkins worked at EMI Records as senior publicist and plugger, before leaving to head up publicity at Columbia Records/Sony until 2011.
He then worked as an artist manager at Vector Management (Artist Nation), then left in 2013 to join Pulse Films as head of communications and music partnerships.
