JLS’ Marvin Humes has signed up to present a weekly Friday night show across Global Radio’s Capital Network.
Humes will host a live weekly mix show featuring ‘hit-music and club tracks’ every Friday from 7-10pm.
His first Friday night show on Friday, March 29 will be preceded by a special introductory show on Thursday, March 28.
Humes is most well-known for his time in boy band JLS who came to prominence on The X Factor in 2008. Prior to that he was in a band called VS, managed by Simon Webbe of Blue fame.
He has DJ’d at some of the biggest clubs in the UK, recently played at New York Fashion Week and will fly out to Ibiza for DJ sets this summer.
Humes said: "'It's an absolute honour to become part of the Capital family, the JLS boys and I have always had a close relationship with the team and it only felt right to grab this opportunity with both hands. My DJ-ing is going incredibly well and having my own Friday night show on the UK's number one hit music station is the icing on the cake!"
Global Radio Group executive director and director of Broadcasting Richard Park said: “We recognised Marvin’s talents as a DJ, and approached him some months ago. JLS are one of the UK’s biggest groups so it’s a great fit for Capital. Each week he’ll be playing the hottest hit-music, remixes and latest upfront club songs to provide the most pumping start to the weekends.”
