British creators and entrepreneurs will be able to raise funding through premium pre-sale opportunities directed at fans via the service.
Currently, non-US companies or individuals have to ally with an American company or set up shop across the pond themselves if they are to make use of Kickstarter.
While it's not a platform specific to music, UK artists will no doubt be inspired by Amanda Palmer's Kickstarter success in America, using the service to raise over a million dollars to fund her latest album, tour and art-boo project.
News of the UK launch came from a Kickstarter tweet which read:
"People in the UK will be able to launch projects on Kickstarter starting this autumn! More info soon! <3 <3 <3"
