Dotcom's streaming service to support lossless audio, ad model revealed

Kim Dotcom’s music service Baboom will stream music through the higher quality lossless FLAC format and will offer ad-supported and ad-free options.

As the platform readies for its official launch later this year, key details have been revealed by chief technology officer Marco Oliveira and Mikee Tucker, Baboom’s head of content and platform.

The service is said to give artists “full control” of their music and aims to create  “a solution to tackle declining revenues and outdated business models”.
