Kobalt has purchased CEG Rights, a movie music rights administration business, from film score financiers Cutting Edge Group.
CEG Rights' catalogue includes the scores for films such as Drive, The King's Speech and more recently the Oscar-nominated Whiplash. Combined, the films in the catalogue have grossed more than $2 billion at the box office.
