Kobalt Music Group has signed an exclusive long-term deal with Paul McCartney's publishing company MPL.

"We are honored that MPL has chosen Kobalt to be its administration company outside the US, Canada and UK/Eire,” said Willard Ahdritz, founder and CEO of Kobalt. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Paul McCartney and MPL, and to represent this prestigious publishing company, which includes some of the most timeless hits ever written."

An MPL spokesperson added: “Kobalt is a forward-thinking, state-of-the-art company with excellent leadership and staff and is a great fit for our catalogues.  We are excited to see what new opportunities this relationship will present.”

The MPL Communications catalogue includes all of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles solo material, works by Linda McCartney and songs by Paul McCartney and Wings.
