The EMI-signed act's new track, The Saboteur, is being made available online through a dedicated site and is designed to promote the band's third album, Junk Of The Heart, which is scheduled for release on September 12.
The more times fans' tweets are given the #junkoftheheart hash tag, the more of the track is unlocked.
If the number of tweets, however, slow down, the track will start to lock again.
