LA City Council oppose Live Nation's bid to run Greek Theatre

Los Angeles City Council has voted to reject Live Nation's bid to run the city's Greek Theatre.

The promoter's bid was backed last year by an evaluation panel of Recreation and Parks staff and the Board of Recreation and Parks Commissioners, having scored 91% of possible points in the bidding process, compared to rival bidder Nederlander/AEG's 79%.

Nederlander is the long-standing operator of the venue and has teamed up with AEG in an effort to maintain control.
