Librarian of Congress Billington to retire September 30

The US Librarian of Congress, Dr. James H. Billington, will retire sooner than anticipated.

Originally set for January 1, 2016, Billington's departure from this key American institution is now set for Sept. 30. The surprise announcement was made in a note to staff today (September 25) seen by Music Week
