Chairman of Universal Music Group Lucian Grainge has been placed at the top of Billboard’s Power 100 for 2013.
Grainge is credited for the $1.9 billion (£1.2bn) acquisition of EMI Music in September by the publication, which calls the UMG chief “a fierce and tireless advocate for the recorded music business.”
Falling in second place is Red Light Management founder Coran Capshaw, while Martin Bandier, Michael Rapino and Doug Morris complete the Top 5.
