Mayor backs campaign to support grassroots venues

London Mayor Boris Johnson has backed a campaign to halt the drop in the number of music venues in the capital. 

London has lost 35% of its grassroots music venues since 2007, according to the Music Venue Trust (MVT), including the Marquee, the Astoria, the 12 Bar Club and Madame Jojos.
