Megaupload originally claimed that the takedown of the Megaupload Mega Song featuring artists such as Will.i.am, P Diddy and Alicia Keys was unlawful. Megaupload has now filed a notice to dismiss the claims against Universal without prejudice although the company will still pursue the claims against as-yet unnamed persons who were involved in taking down the viral video.
