The Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize was watched by far fewer people on television this year than in 2011.
That's according to the BBC entertainment correspondent Colin Paterson, who has publicly commented on the viewing figures for this show.
The Mercury Prize was previously aired live on the BBC, but broadcasting rights this year switched to Channel 4.
Only the decision announcement from last Thursday's ceremony, won by Alt-J, was shown as it happened.
