Midweek Charts: XL's White set to earn chart stripes

The XL album was outselling its nearest competitor, fellow new release Out Of The Games by Polydor's Rufus Wainwright, by around 13,500 copies up to the end of business on Tuesday with another XL offering - Adele's 21 - in third place.

White previously topped the artist albums chart as half of the White Stripes with Elephant in 2003 and then with Icky Thump in 2007.
