Ministry of Sound has partnered with Samsung to release an app for the tech company’s range of Smart TVs in conjunction with Base79.
From today, the app will offer exclusive video content from Ministry of Sound TV as well as live streams from the London venue and live and on-demand audio from MoS radio.
It’s the first time the range of content will be presented together in one place. Users will also be able to share content between their Samsung Galaxy tablets and phones.
The app will also benefit from being a part of Samsung’s wireless SoundShare system, with users being able to synchronise their TV to the company’s range of sound bars and docking stations for an enhanced sound experience.
“We're looking forward to giving dance music fans a taste of Ministry of Sound direct to Samsung Smart TVs,” said Ministry of Sound’s James Garside. “Live From The Club on Ministry of Sound Radio is a unique offering that allows users to stay in tune with the world famous DJs that play here.
“New music is a key focus of what we do here. Our A&R team continually spend time scouting new talent; all of which is available through our app, and it’s the only place you are able to access our entire music and video collection along with the rest of the live and on-demand Ministry of Sound Radio shows.”
Guy Kinnell, director, TV/AV (UK) and Consumer Electronics (Ireland), Samsung Electronics added: ‘’When you bring such musical heritage to the living room, viewers expect not only the very best in picture quality but superior sound too.
“Our 2013 Smart TVs include built in sub woofers to provide a truly live music experience and with Samsung SoundShare technology, people can wirelessly stream high quality audio to Samsung's family of quality audio products.
“The new Ministry of Sound App enables viewers to feel part of the live music action and bring the club experience into the comfort of their own home.’’
