Modest Management is suing former client Rebecca Ferguson for breach of contract.

Ferguson, a former X Factor contestant, lambasted the company on Twitter in July. She called Modest "vile" in a rant in which she claimed she was made to conduct press interviews when suffering from exhaustion.

According to the BBC, Modest has filed a High Court writ which seeks damages and 20% of Ferguson's earnings during the remaining term of the contract.
