Morrissey attacks Olympics' 'blustering jingoism'
It's sponsored by McDonalds and awash with flag-waving patriotism, so perhaps it's not really a surprise that Morrissey doesn't like London 2012 all that much.
But his latest monarchy-themed diatribe against the Games is hot stuff even for a man famously unafraid of venomous dispatches.
Writing on a fan blog, Morrissey slams the Olympics' "blustering jingoism", whilst suggesting that modern Britain is as swept up in propaganda as Nazi Germany.
A little bit of Godwin's Law in action, perhaps.
