Music startup investment surpasses $600m in 2012 - report

Investment in music-related startups is up 34% in 2012 compared to 2011, according to research. 

Digitial Music News has compiled its reports of funding for the likes of new music tech companies this year with a cumulative figure of $619.3m invested.

Wireless speaker company Sonos topped the funding table with £135m in financing while Deezer wasn’t far behind with a $130m round ahead of Spotify’s $100m last month.
