After the success of its late night Afrobeats radio show hosted by DJ Abrantee, Choice FM and its parent company Global Radio have put together a brand new compilation of Afrobeats hits.
Hosted by DJ Abrantee, the compilation features tunes from the likes of D’Banj, Naeto C, Wande Coal, May7ven R2Bees, Atumpan and many more. There’s also exclusive remixes of songs by Conor Maynard, Ne-Yo and Lemar as well as an exclusive collaboration between Tinchy Stryder and R2Bees.
With Afrobeats music continuing to re-shape the global music landscape and move further into the mainstream; the world paying attention to the genre moreso now than ever. DJ Abrantee, supported by Choice FM, has stood at the forefront of this revolution, especially since the pioneering Afrobeats Radio Show that the station launched April 2011.
The Volume 1 mixtape caused a stir in the UK, featuring the best new Afrobeats tracks which went on to become hits in 2012 like D’Banj’s Oliver Twist, May7ven’s Ten Ten and The Thing by Atumpan.
DJ Abrantee has been featured in The Guardian, Evening Standard and CNN in relation to the recent rise of the genre.
