The Family Monroe are a band whose tales of heartbreak, jealousy, longing and desire tell a bigger story of how the band themselves have endured break-ups, illness and infidelity in the extremely short time they have been together. It seemed like it was fate's way of telling them something, but that hasn't stopped them.
Like the performers they admire, they write and sing songs that come directly from the heart and aim for the jugular. Taking major influences from the music and films from the 50s and 60s, the music echoes a golden era of teenage heartbreak, with a darker lyrical twist often exploring the connections between love and violence, sex and control. Formed in the summer of 2012, The Family Monroe encompass elements of a classic pop band.
