Planning officials from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council this week granted full approval to The NEC Group to redevelop the venue and create new seats, toilets, restaurants and a VIP Party Deck.

The news follows the announcement last month that the NEC is to be re-branded as the LG Arena from September 1, as a result of a sponsorship deal with electronics company LG.
