Garth Brooks concerts fiasco could prompt new laws

New licensing laws could soon be brought in for events in Ireland following a major review prompted by the cancellation of all five Garth Brooks concerts in Croke Park, Dublin, last July.

The sold out, 80,000-capacity shows, organised by Aiken Promotions, were scrapped weeks before they were due to take place after Dublin City Council granted permission for only three of the scheduled five-night residency. Brooks (pictured) insisted he would play “all or none”.
