A new Christian publishing company has been launched by Universal Music Group Publishing and the Capital Music Group, called Capitol CMG Publishing.
Billboard reports that this combines the two Christian publishing divisions EMI CMG Publishing and Brentwood Benson Music Publishing and will be headed up by EMI CMG president Eddie DeGarmo as Brentwood Benson’s president Dale Matthews departs.
The new company’s assets include a roster of top genre songwriters as well as prominent catalogues.
This move is part of the result of UMG’s acquisition of EMI.
