Plans have been unveiled for a new permanent music venue in Edinburgh.
The Assembly Theatre is planning to transform a former church near the National Museum of Scotland, reports the Edinburgh Evening News.
The company acquired the building three years ago, but has only used it during the Fringe festival so far. It hopes to win council backing to allow live music events to be staged on the upper floor.
