NME has revealed various staff changes following the announcement that the publication will be going free from September 18 this year.
Editor Mike Williams is promoted to editor in chief, which reflects his position as head of the brand and the "platform-neutral nature" of his role.
Tom Howard is promoted from assistant editor to deputy editor and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the new NME magazine and will work with Williams on delivering "world exclusive, agenda setting" covers.
