NMPA applauds Apple's 13.5% publishing rate

Apple is expected to provide today (Thursday, June 18) independent publishers with a contract allowing them to opt in to the new music streaming service that the tech giant plans to launch by the end of June. The announcement was made by David Israelite (pictured), president and CEO of the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) at the organisation's AGM in New york on June 17.
