Newcastle’s O2 Academy has been put on the market by the city council, with a guide price of £625,000.
The Newcastle Journal reports the Academy Music Group-run venue’s operations will not change, but its freehold will go up for auction.
Commercial property specialist Lambert Smith Hampton, which is acting as agent, said it had six years left on a 99-year lease, producing £2,500 a year ground rent.
