The Olympic Stadium is due to re-open in July this year to host a number of music concerts, the BBC reports.

Following the success of music showcased at the venue during the London 2012 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies, it is said that promoters are looking to hold big gigs at the East London venue rather than Hyde Park. Details are due to be announced in the coming weeks as final contracts are yet to be signed.
