Pandora's all-time royalty payments surpass $1.5bn

The internet radio platform has paid out nearly $500 million to music rights-holders in the past 12 months, with its all-time royalty payments surpassing the $1.5 billion milestone. “It took us nearly nine years to generate the first billion dollars in royalties, and just over a year to increase that total by 50%," said CEO Brian McAndrews.
