Following the success of the two albums featuring the music from the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Decca Records will release the soundtrack to the London 2012 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony – made available within moments of the ceremony ending.

Enlightenment - Music For The Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games will be released in its entirety after the ceremony after midnight on August 30, 2012.

All of the London 2012 souvenir albums have been released by Decca Records, under Universal Music (official music licensee for the London 2012 Olympic Games) with the support of The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

Upon its release, Isles of Wonder – Music For The Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games featuring the single Caliban’s Dream by Underworld, shot to number one in the UK and ten other countries and gained top Ten chart positions around the world. The album registered top ten in 42 countries.

Details surrounding the music that will be featured in the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games is a closely guarded secret, however the co-artistic directors of the Ceremony, Jenny Sealy and Bradley Hemmings have promised that Enlightenment will be a celebration of the spirit of the Paralympic Games.

The ceremony will showcase deaf and disabled artists and will open with a fly past by Aerobility, a British charity that trains disabled people to become pilots.

The Ceremony, which takes place today (August 29) in the Olympic Stadium, will include an adult volunteer cast of over 3000, a children volunteer cast of over 100 and a professional cast of over 100.
