Patti Smith to release new album 'Banga' on June 5
Monday, Apr 2nd 2012 at 1:24PMThe album is inspired by Smith's 'unique dreams and observations'. Amongst the tracks are a ballad in memory of Amy Winehouse (This Is The Girl), and a birthday song written for Johnny Depp (Nine).
Featured guests include former Television frontman Tom Verlaine and Brooklyn-based recording musician Jack Petruzzelli as well as Smith's son Jackson and daughter Jesse Paris.
The first single, 'April Fool,' is available digitally from April 3.
