Paul Gambaccini will not present the 22nd Music Industry Trusts (MITs) Award dinner in London tonight following his arrest last week.

BBC presenter Gambaccini, 64, was arrested by police as part of an investigation into historical sex offences.

UPDATE: Music Week understands that BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley will now host this evening's event.

Gambaccini was held at his home in south London early on Tuesday and questioned in police custody, before being released on bail until January.
