Hugely influential US folk singer Pete Seeger has died aged 94.
The news was confirmed by Seeger's grandson, Kitama Cahill-Jackson, who said the musician died on Monday night after six days in a New York hospital.
First known as a member of the Weavers – a quartet that formed in 1948 – Seeger continued his career as a musician for the next six decades.
