Police launch database to tackle festival crime

The Police are creating a national database of security issues at live events in a bid to tackle festival crime.

Deputy chief constable Andy Adams of Hertfordshire Police announced the plan at the Intelligence Engagement conference, held at The O2 in London on March 19.

Live UK reports the scheme will target issues such as counterfeit ticketing, ticket touts, pickpockets, drug abuse, insider theft and violent crime.
